Greetings!

My health journey has been complex, like many of you. In my early 20's I suffered a mysterious illness that lasted for months. Though I was referred to a specialist for treatment, it was simply a reaction to birth control. After my first child was born, I fell ill after being prescribed an incorrect dosage of medicine to treat a bladder infection. My symptoms progressed until I ended up in the emergency room. Since childbirth, I have dealt with fibroids and its complications (including anemia). I have also managed gestational diabetes, fainting spells and suffered a miscarriage. I understand how poor health can disrupt your entire world.

I have completed a Graduate Certificate in Addictions and am a M.S. in Mental Health Counseling Candidate. I often write articles about women's issues, health and wellness.

I get my blood screened regularly for high glucose and I am always at normal levels. Why now do I have such cravings when I never had them before in my life. What can I do? Thank you!
