Hi, I’m Bailey Mosier. This is your EmpowHER HER Daily Dose.
If you’re anything like me, there’s rarely a time when you find some down time at work or stumble across an entire day that’s particularly slow. But when you do, here’s a few productive ways to fill your time.
Write a succession plan. Take your job description, break it down and outline tasks per month. It will make your job easier and when you do leave one day, your boss will love you for it!
Organize your emails. Even if you stay on top of every message that comes through, invariably one slipped through the crack, you may need to file something in another folder or simply go back over and re-read some things.
You have time to spare, but what about your colleagues? See if there’s anything you can help co-workers with. If no one needs your assistance, look for new projects. Your boss will be impressed by your initiative.
If you just have a short time to kill, focus on your professional development. Read articles about what’s going on in your industry. By staying informed and learning more, you’re increasing your value as an employee. Those are a few productive ways to fill your down time at work… can you think of a few more?
That wraps up your EmpowHER HER Daily Dose. Join me here at EmpowHER.com every weekday for your next dose of women’s health.
