Actually, I remember the moment of clarity that I had to help me come to that realization that bariatric procedure was for me. I remember very clearly I was speaking with somebody who had actually had the procedure done before, and for me it was like the light switch had been turned on.

I had contemplated and thought about it for a couple of years prior, it wasn’t as popular as it is now with a billboard on the side of the road type of thing, but it was in the moment where I just was speaking to this person who had had it and I saw how their lives had been changed and it really touched something inside of me that I saw that I wanted.

It is so hard to describe but it was just like that moment of clarity. I am like, this is it. What am I waiting for? What’s stopping me? And that helped me. That was the first step to my journey to where I am at today, was that moment I remember very specifically.
