Laurrie:

Before I had the LAP-BAND® I wasn’t able to get pregnant, but now that my weight is under control, I have been able to conceive without a problem. I am very excited to be pregnant and like I said, I am well into my 30s so I have waited a long time for this, and it’s just great knowing that I didn’t have to do the medical in vitro and all that. It’s very expensive, and there’s no guarantee and even just being pregnant at the weight that I was would have just been unhealthy for me and the baby.

So I am glad that I am healthier and that I am going to be I think a better mom because I am healthier. Great, I know that I have healthier habits now, and I am looking forward to sharing those with my child and just, you know, I am active. I can be active, and I can look forward to playing ball and the parks and everything. It’s just good to know that I am healthy, and I am going to stay healthy, and I will be able to watch this baby grow up.
