LAP-BAND® Surgery: When Did You Realize You Wanted This Procedure? (VIDEO)

Hi, my name is Laurrie. I had a LAP-BAND® procedure performed by Dr. Liu, and I have lost 105 pounds, and I’d like to share my story with you.

I was trying to conceive, and I was having great difficulty doing that, and I was told that the reason that I was having difficulty was because of my weight. So I had struggled with my weight my whole adult life, and I knew that I couldn’t do it by myself so I had to look into surgical options.

I didn’t want to, I had looked into bypass surgery, and it wasn’t for me because that type of surgery, they don’t want you to get pregnant within like two years of that surgery, and I was already well into my 30s when I discovered this. So I didn’t want to wait, have to wait, so this process was a lot more friendly towards conceiving much quicker.
