One of the reasons that I feel the REALIZE® Band was so important for me was the metabolic changes that your body goes through when you are that overweight. I was morbidly obese and I referred to it earlier as a metabolic hole.
It’s not just the point about eating less and exercising more; you need to change your whole body and how your body works. And that’s where I feel that the REALIZE® Band made that difference for me. It helped me with appetite control, eating smaller snacks several times a day, and so that’s, people ask me, “Well don’t you think you could have done it without the surgery?” And my answer is no, I needed that tool to help me succeed.
