Glynis:
So that was the first part of that. They stuck me with a needle to numb the breast area, but for me, it really didn’t numb anything and so, I had about two different needles try to numb that area. And so, I am starting to think in my mind, “Maybe this is what it feels like. Maybe this is what it is. Just be strong. Get this done.” And then the biopsy itself is a needle that goes into the breast.
Picture a needle with like a claw, some kind of claw on it and it’s very small and very necessary. So they stuck that in my breast and pressed the handle of the needle down into grab tissue and so it’s like somebody going into your breast, clicking on a needle to grab tissue, to pull it out.
Now the good thing about the biopsy is they will be able to tell whether or not they have enough tissue and so, I think I was poked maybe about two or three times, but, at that point, after the first sensation and not knowing what it’s going to feel like, but then it’s over, you certainly can withstand any additional pokes you might need to have.
