Q:

Can Next Choice delay your period yet cause no side effects?

My boyfriend and I had sex on Saturday, and it was not until he pulled out that we realized the condom had a tear it in. Not by much, but enough that some may have gotten inside. Seven hours after it happened, I began taking Next Choice. My period was supposed to come this week, today, Wednesday, and it has not come. I have also had no side effects either. Does this mean that the medication has not worked yet? Also, how long can your period be delayed? Since my period was so close to the time of the accident, I don't believe I was fertile at all so that's one positive. I know it has only been 3 days since taking next choice, but I'd just like to be certain that everything is going to be okay.

Hello,

I had unprotected sex on the 24th of November. My period actually ended three days before this incident took place. I decided to take the Next Choice pill on the 3rd day after having unprotected sex It was a couple of hours before my 72hours where up. A week later went By, and I bled lightly for two days and the other two I was just spotting. I'm wondering was this like an early? I took a pregnancy the second week of December and it was negative, but it has been a whole month and a couple of days without getting my period. Is this normal after taking this pill? Has anyone had similar experience?

I have a question that I would love some help with. My girlfriend is on Birthcontrol for 7 months now, and she started a week late after her period was over because she was sick with the flu and couldn't. Go get her prescription . So she was on it 7 days before we had sex in which the condom broke on the first penetration. I was in for maybe 25 seconds total and I pulled out immediately once I had felt that. She took Nextchoice 1 step 24 hours (exactly) after we had that (no symptoms). We had protected sex twice 1 wek after that. Today is her first day of placebos, she usually gets her 3 or 4 days on them. What should I expect?

It was there for a little bit and now it's like I'm not even on my perod. I took a test and it said negative but I have no idea why my period is MIA...? Also I'm hoping I didn't take the test too soon..

Hello, I'm seeking for a little help with a few of my personal questions. I took an ECP the first week of August. Light withdrawal bleeding took place a few days later. 2 weeks after the last day of the withdrawal bleeding, I had another period, which seemed to me more like spotting; it was very light, it was dark in color, and it lasted for a full week. Also in the month of September, I experienced the same thing except the period and or spotting was even more lighter and it only lasted 3 days. This is very unusual of my body, because I usually have very heavy cycles every 35-40 days that last 5-7 days. Is this a normal side effect after taking the ECP? How can I regulate my menstral cycle? If it helps, I am 18 and I do not take birthcontrol.

I took morning after pills immediately after having unprotected sex with my boyfriend. That was 10 days to my periods 3RD August 2012 and my periods came early on 10th August 2012 six days early. i thought it was normal because it always comes some days early. and then the same time September I had unprotected sex too but this time he didn't ejaculate in me. I didn't take any Emergency pills this time coz I was sure I wouldn't be pregnant. am now 8 days late. i went to the doctor and had a test within the 8 days 3 times all of them came negative. now the doctor is telling me he is sure am not pregnant. am worried coz i have never bn late. i have no sign of pregnancy. just sour breast which is normal for me coz i always have that when periods are almost coming. what should i do?

I took this pill on July 22...I am currently 36 days late and counting. I did pregnancy tests and got negatives...and possible evap lines on a couple. Blood test negative 3 weeks ago. Is it normal to be this late? I have always had regular periods.

As you noted, i am 2 days delayed before our intercourse. does this indicates that i will get easily pregnant? please anyone help me.

Hi I could use a little help as well... My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex last Saturday, September 1st, Day 23. And I was able to take Next Choice two and a half days later... I should have started my period yesterday on Friday. Should I be panicking?! I see that my period can be delayed but when should I take a test? And how?
Sheltered and scared.
