Anyone heard of Valslide?

I came across this product on the web today, and apparently a few celebrities, like Jennifer Garner, swear by it to keep them in shape. I'm just curious if anyone has heard about it or tried it.

no one seems to ever mention the fact that Jennifer does Pilates. THat's why she looks so fabulous. Not because of the $40 Valslide, but because she has a $4000 Pilates machine in her house! And an instructor, of course.

I have heard about the theory behind glides -- because your feet slide on the floor (whether it's wood or carpet or whatever), you actually have to be more conscious of your control and of the resistance that you meet when you're going down into a lunge, for instance.

I've never tried them; I'm not generally good with exercise that has to be done in the home. They look like they'd be fun to try but that after a little while they might find themselves gathering dust. Virginia, your old chair and color-coded rubber straps work because you use them!!!

Celebrity endorsements are interesting to me. I guess I listen to them if, for instance, I know a particular celebrity is in really good shape. Jennifer Garner has always been in good shape. But I also always think, sure, they can afford personal trainers, too. I watched an interview with Gwyneth Paltrow recently, and she works out with her trainer two hours a day. That's a lot of work, time and discipline, but it's also a whole lot of money!!

I have not heard about this new product. Thanks for sharing the link. I had a chance to read a little bit about it. Here is a question I always have, if celebrities are using it, does that make it a better product or just another great marketing campaign?

I love this country! We have created such an industry when it comes to fitness. What is next? From the website it appears to be another stretching program with the help of a couple of foot devices. It does not seem to be too expensive but I do not see why I need to invest on something like this to do my own stretching and endurance building routine using my old chair to hold on to and color coded rubber straps. I’d like to hear from someone who has used the Valslide (not a celebrity preferably)and has seen great results.
