can you help me?

I'm an 18 year old female. Lately, I've been experiencing peculiar symptoms that I've not experienced before. 2 months ago, I had an incident where I thought I may have fallen pregnant (my bf ejaculated near my vagina although I had underwear on). This occurred one week after my period (which was on 24 august) and so my next scheduled period was 11 days late (it happened on 5 october; the latest its ever been is 8 days).

To be certain, I took a home pregnancy test on 3 October, 9 days after my scheduled period and the result was negative. I menstruated on 5 October.

During these past 2 weeks, I've been experiencing an on and off dull pelvic pain. My mons pubis has been itchy. The other day I experienced a sudden sharp pain in my vulva. I also had a temporary shortness of breath (perhaps anxiety related) and decided to get an HIV test 8 and a hald weeks after this occurrence and the result was also negative. My next period is scheduled for the 5 November.

Any ideas of what may be wrong with me?

Penetration did not occur and the itchiness started at least 7 weeks after the event. Do you still think it could be an STD/STI?

Symptoms can occur weeks later, Anon, but it may not necessarily be an infection/disease, it's just something to consider.

If it is not that, and symptoms continue, see a doctor for a diagnosis.

Hi Anon

Thanks for your post!

I think it's safe to rule pregnancy out. I'm glad your HIV test was negative although it's best to test 12 weeks after a scare so that anti-bodies have time to show up.

If you are itchy and in some pain, you may have contracted a sexually transmitted infection or disease. It's worth getting that checked out.
