Hi Anonymous,

I do not think you could be pregnant. However, you took Postinor 2 more than recommended and unnecessarily the first time. As a result, you seriously upset the normal hormonal balance that regulates your menstrual cycle. That is most likely why you have not gotten your period.

Please consult your gynecologist.

Hi Anonymous,

Postinor 2 should never be taken more than once during a menstrual cycle. You overdosed and seriously upset the normal hormonal balance that regulates your menstrual cycle. Having vaginal bleeding three times in one month is serious. You need to be evaluated by a physician.

Hello Anonymous,

Vaginal bleeding means Postinor 2 worked and you are not pregnant.

If you want to prevent becoming pregnant, please use birth control. Postinor 2 is for emergency situations and should not be used as birth control.

Hello Anonymous,

Postinor 2 is not to be used as birth control. It will not protect you against pregnancy beyond the initial unprotected intercourse. It should only be used once in a one month period.

By taking Postinor 2 again, you will be seriously upsetting the hormonal balance that regulates your menstrual cycle. Plainly, you will be overdosing on the synthetic hormone in the pill.

Considering your situation, it is not an easy call. Talk with your gynecologist, primary care physician or a pharmacist before you take another dose.

Maryann

Hello Anonymous,

I think the reason you have not gotten a period is because of a hormonal imbalance caused by taking Postinor 2 twice- January 1 and February 1.

You should call your gynecologist or primary care physician about this.
There are two options- a blood hCG test to definitely rule out pregnancy and blood test to check your estrogen and progesterone levels.
