Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

A healthy vaginal discharge most commonly resembles mucus or gel consistency.  During different stages in a woman's menstrual cycle, it is normal to have discharge and for the discharge to have different characteristics based on the stage. Base on the different phases of the menstrual cycle it becomes more or less clear, whitish and thick.

Signs of Normal Cervical Secretions:

  1. Clear, thin, gel-like or mucous consistency, white or slightly yellowish
  2. No particular odor
  3. No irritation or pain

I hope this helps.

Be well,

~Gillette
