Could I be pregnant on the pill?

I missed three pills in my last week of active pills, made them up over the next few days when i realised, then had my week on non active pills but started my next pack of pills three days late. Was meant to start active pills on a Saturday, but started on tues and made them up by taking one morning and evening until I had caught back up. Have had sex regularly throughout the month. My period (withdrawal bleed) is due on tuesday. What are my chances of being pregnant? Been nauseated for the past five days.

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. If you miss your pills, it is suggested to use a backup method of protection for at least 7 days of consecutive use of the pill. If you were having unprotected sex, there is certainly a chance but you will have to wait until you miss a period to know for sure.....which will be the next month. If you have any additional concerns, contact your physician.

Good luck,

Missie
