Q:

Mononucleosis....Are there any alternative treatments?

I have a colleague whose 14 year old daughter was just diagnosed with Mononucleosis. The doctor said, there's nothing they can do for her. It just has to take its course. She is one sick young girl. High fever on and off. Very lethargic. Just feels crummy. Does anyone know of anything that can help this poor girl feel better?

Does anyone know of any super foods or alternative treatments that can help her?

Thanks so much,
Michelle

I'm sorry about your colleague's daughter. I found this: Alternative treatments for mono. The article recommends adequate sleep, vitamins B and C, and Zinc, to help repair and energize the body; Echinacea to help against inflammation.

Years ago, I was diagnosed with Epstein-Barr, the virus that causes mono. My recuperation took a couple of months!

I hope your colleague's daughter recovers soon.
