So I've had this for quite a while but I'm just curious to whether it is normal..very near to my vaginal opening, the surface feels rough, like tiny taste buds on the surface,is this normal? I'm a virgin and these tiny bumps do not cause me any pain or irritation what so ever, but I'm still kinda worried, please help.

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. The best advice I can give you is to schedule an examination with a gynecologist.

Your actual vagina is the small opening located below your urethral opening and clitoris. Though very little of the vagina is visible, if you put your finger inside, you may feel bumps. These bumps are called vaginal rugae, and they are completely normal.

Regards,
Maryann
