nausea and pain

I have 1 only one ovary. For the last week and a half, I have been experiencing nausea all day long. Feels like a bad case of motion sickness. Also have been experiencing a dull, continus pain in the lower left side, around the hip bone area. Should I be concerned enough to go to the ER? It will be a few weeks before I can see my GYN, due to appointments.

Guide

Hi anonymous and thanks for brining your EmpowHER.

Ongoing nausea, coupled with pain, is not normal. You need to get medical attention as soon as possible.

Contact your gyn's office, explain the urgency, and find out if you can get in to see your regular physician or another physician in the same practice. If that doesn't work contact your primary care physician as they can usually get patients in quickly. The ER is another option, if the others don't work, and by all means go to the ER if your situation worsens (high fever, vomiting, severe pain, for example.)

Do not let this wait and worsen. Let us know what you learn and how you're doing. We wish the best for you.

Regards,

Pam
