Have you been diagnosed with ovarian hypoplasia? Are you asking about yourself?

I can provide you with general information but urge you to discuss this with your gynecologist, who knows you.

The word hypoplasia refers to the underdevelopment or incomplete development. Thus ovarian hypoplasia is the underdevelopment or incomplete development of one or both ovaries.

The ovaries produce the hormones, including estrogen, that trigger menstruation. They also release at least one egg each month for possible fertilization.
