ask: Stoped birthcontrol early, Could I be Pregnant? If not when should I be ovulating?

I removed my nuva ring about two weeks early. I put it in on 4/25 and then i removed it on 5/5. I started my period on 5/7 a few days later. If i started my period does that mean my schedual should be back on track? I have been having unprotected sex ever since I took it out. Could I already be pregnant? if not when would I be Ovulating?

Your cycle is indeed getting back on track but sometimes takes a few months.
The average woman ovulates between day 8 and day 20 of her cycle, with day 14 being the generalized date. (Day 1 of a cycle is the first day of your period).

If you generally ovulate around day 14, then that would be around now so it's a good time to try for conception. If you already ovulated, then having unprotected sex as you have been doing is good. As your body goes back to it's birth control-free regime, you'll get a better sense of your body clock. You may need to give it 1-3 months.

May 21, 2010 - 11:26amwell day 14 would be today but I feel like I am already having early symptoms. I have been supper bloated and my boobs are really sore. I am thinking that I have ovulated really early. when I was pregnant with my 1st I knew I was pregnant a week before my period was due, I took a test and it was positive! with my second pregnancy (ended in a miscarrage) was the exact same way I tested a week before my period and I was positive, and I new it. I really feel like I am already and I should start my period on the 4th I took a test on wednesday the 19th because of how i have been feeling I knew that it would be way too early for it to come out positive almost 2weeks before my period is due. But I think that I am going to test again this wensday. I dont know Maybe I naturally ovulate earlyer then most people and that is why I tend to test positive a whole week before my period is due? what do you think?

I'm sorry you see you had a miscarriage. That's tough for anyone to deal with.
Absolutely you may ovulate early. Some women ovulate as early as day 8 or 9 of their cycle which means they ovulate just a few days after having their period! The 14 day estimate is based on averages.
In your case, if you are looking to conceive, then start trying on day 7 of your cycle and continue on for a couple of weeks. You can also use an ovulation predictor kit - these are sold in the pregnancy-testing section of a drug store and have directions attached - they are very easy to follow.
To have pregnancy symptoms by day 14 is very rare but anything is possible.
It's up to you to test this early but I wouldn't worry about this so early in the month. If you are pregnant you'll find out in the next couple of weeks, either way. I know it's nerve wracking and exciting but over-thinking everything is only going to stress you out.
However, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get the answer you want - I hope you update us when you test again!

May 22, 2010 - 4:06amok so my reson for consen also is that, My boy friend and I had a threesome with one of his friends on the 15th. He never came in side of me.He with drew in plenty of time. unlike my boyfriend that always does.And me and the bf have sex everyday multible times a day. I didnt want to do this because I knew that I was not on bc. I took a hpt today and there was a very faint blue line? if I am pregnant what are the chances of this baby being this other guy? Also If I am testing Positive this early does that mean I may be farther along. how long after u consieve can you get a positive test. Please help me figure this out. I truly belive that it would be my bf but I need a way to reassure him

Why didn't you say all this earlier? The more info we get from you the better (and faster) we have help you, rather than multiple posts trying to get more information.
Your boyfriend is likely to be the father but only a DNA test can confirm this. Also bear in mind that you are risking some serious STDs by having unprotected sex with this other man, no matter if he ejaculates or not.
Your boyfriend knew the risks by having a threesome so he doesn't really need reassurance, as such. But a DNA test can ease both your minds.
If you are seeing a second line - no matter how faint - you are indeed pregnant! I hope this is good news for you! And if you got your period last month (before the 15th) then you are pregnant from this months sexual activity.

I took both of them they were both negative? isit maybe because the tests are a diffrent sensitivity or did I maybe have a false positive?

It's rare to get a false positive, because the way an HPT works is that it looks for the pregnancy hormone -- which is called HCG -- in your urine. So it's more common to get a false negative than it is to get a false positive. But it could have happened, sure. I think that for the most part you're just going to have to wait a little longer to know for sure. When should your next period come?
