Hello and thank you in advance to all who try to help =)

I had my tubes tied after my last pregnancy (17 months ago) and since then I have not paid much attention to what day of the month my period starts. I do know I had my period in February (my guess is I started on the 14th or 21st - it was a Sat. and towards the later part of the month) and it's now going on April and I have not had a period. I know it's very unlikely that I could get pregnant after having my tubes tied BUT I conceived my three boys extremely easily. I'm just a fertile mertile ;) So, I do not doubt my bodies ability to get pregnant. I did take a pregnancy test last thursday (March 26) and it was negative. I don't currently have health insurance, if I did I would just make an appt to see my Doctor. What are your thoughts? Think I could be pregnant? FYI my periods are never late. If anything they come early and they last abour 7-8 days (ugh!!).

Thanks!!
~ K

P.S. If I were indeed pregnant would I get a positive pregnancy test if it was an ectopic pregnancy?

Hello Anonymous,

I can appreciate your concerns.

A blood pregnancy test is more accurate than a urine test. If the blood pregnancy test came back negative, then you can rest assured that you are not pregnant.

Were any other blood tests done? Tests to check hormone levels?

No, you should not keep on going without have a period, not at your age. The cause needs to be found.

The menstrual cycle is regulated by a precise balance of hormones. Irregularities in hormone levels can cause changes in the menstrual cycle. Blood tests can help make a diagnosis.

Regards,
Maryann

I had my tubes tied right before I turned 28. I'm 32 now. I had my period last month as usual then it came again 2 weeks later with light red/brown blood and weird cramping. I took a hpt today and it was positive. Is this possible or is it a false positive?

I had my tubes tied in March 2006 . After the birth of my fourth child . We were high school sweethearts and we stayed together thirteen years. However,I thought we would last forever and four kids is a lot to take care of.The marriage went bad before my last child was even out of diapers. The divorce has been final for a five years .I met the man of my dreams and he has no kids .i would love to give him one. This month I had a late period so late I started to believe I might be pregnant I had morning sickness, sore breast, tired and all the symptoms. My feionce was so excited and I kept saying I don't want to get excited and be disappointed! So we decided to do a home remedy that tells you if your pregnant. When i peed in the cup I started my period. We cried and now he won't even look at me this was like losing a child I never had .when I didn't know I was not pregnant I searched this site and it gave me hope now IAM depressed. But ,I suppose God will give us a baby if it is ment to be .i just don't understand why I feel this loss.????

Hi. I had all those symptoms myself in 2012 I was scared cause my last was only 1 yrs old. It turned out I had cyst on both my overs that were already too big and pushing on my ovaries causing me to feel ill... Get checked just in case. I had them removed and now I am fine

I'm 32 yrs. Old and had my tubes tied 10 yrs ago. I've always had a regular AF every 28 days. I'm now 41 days late and took 4 hpt and all negative. Not able to make a dr. Appointment since he's all booked. Not sure what to think at this point. Anyone with advice will certainly help. Thanks
