Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

There are many causes of black stool. Are you feeling any kind of digestive discomfort? If so, this black stool could be a symptom of GI distress - including bleeding from ulcers or other conditions.

Diet can also be a cause - dark foods, from black licorice, to blackberries to blueberries, these dark stools are simply a reflection of diet.

If you feel your diet is not the cause, it's a good idea to see advice from your doctor, to rule out any internal condition.
Best,
Susan
