Why am I cramping mid cycle?

The first day of my last period was July 30. About two weeks later I started having mild cramping and a dull ache in my uterus. I also feel pressure when having sex. I am actively trying to get pregnant. What could possibly be causing this pain? It has been over 1 week that the cramping started. I am not due for my period for another week according to my 28 day cycle and have not experiencd this before. Please help.

If your cramping is actually mild and dull, it could be period related (PMS symptoms), or gastrointestinal issues. You could also be pregnant, since you are trying.

You also describe this cramping as "pain", and if you are experiencing severe pain, or this pain increases, you should call your doctor.

You can take a home pregnancy test after you have missed your expected period, to confirm if cramping is due to pregnancy or another condition.
