I'm glad to hear that others feel they are "slogging through the fog", and it is a good reminder to watch more what I eat. I love refined carbs, and they do make me feel good immediately, but it's the long-term effects that are difficult to deal with. When I want something sweet, I've been turning to yogurt with granola, or 2% chocolate milk. I know there is quite a bit of sugar in both of those options above, but at least I am getting a combination of protein, carbs and some vitamins (unlike in a pastry or doughnut wholesale lingerie.
