Michele:

I think that initially just talking with other women while I was going through treatment, and the nurse practitioner at my doctor’s office, Kelly, she was fabulous to talk to, a great supporter, and then, I really did have a lot of anxiety about cancer even after I knew it was an early diagnosis. I kind of felt guilty that so many other women aren’t so fortunate and then, kind of found it hard to believe that. why would I be so lucky to be diagnosed early and just had a lot of anxiety.

So I did go to counseling for a while just to help me learn how to deal with anxiety and learned that what I really wanted to do, that the great thing about having cancer is now I felt like I had a purpose in life to try to help other women to be diagnosed early and to know more about ovarian cancer.
