Hi peaches71,
Thank you for your question and welcome to EmpowHer. Plantar fasciitis is a very painful but there are things that you can do to prevent the pain. Have you followed up with your physician? Here are information and treatment options available for individuals suffering from Plantar Fasciitis https://www.empowher.com/condition/plantar-fasciitis/treatments. Perhaps some of the information can help answer some of your questions.
However, since you are experiencing so much pain, I would certainly follow up with your physician. We can certainly provide you information on our site regarding your diagnosed condition although seeking relief from your pain is essential. Please keep us updated on what your physician tells you.
Good luck,

Hi Missie
October 9, 2011 - 9:51amThank you for the information
My GP told me the plantar fasciitis has been caused from 3 years of having a bad back and involuntary muscle cramps which I am on medication for ,I saw a pain specialist who said I have a nerve/muscle disorder??which I do not know what that means,I am waiting for a follow up appointment to see him as he changed my meds and said he would see me in a month, basically my neck/shoulder/back I have chronic burning pain which is spreading to my legs, now i have cramped calf muscle which is stretching the heel and has caused this additional problem!I feel like I am falling apart since this crash. Can nerve damage spread and affect the muscle control?which is kind of what my consultant said but what I need is some relief and also to know if I will ever recover.
