I slammed my finger in the door at work about 2 weeks ago. It was swollen and purple[just from the smallest joint to the tip], and the nail is completely black.
My daughter who is 6 came up to me last night moving her finger around. i asked her if it hurt and she said a little bit but she didnt seem distressed nor was she crying.
A finger dislocation occurs when the bones that normally fit are no longer aligned properly. This often also implies stretching or damage to the ligaments. Dislocation can happen in any of the joints in the fingers.
