VIDEO: Dr. Hilkovitz - Diabetes Treatment, What Is The Role Of Supplements?

January 8, 2009 - 2:21pm 197 reads 0 comments

Dr. Hilkovitz introduces himself and shares what the role of supplements are in treating diabetes.

Dr. Hilkovitz:
My name is Gabriel Hilkovitz. I was born in South Africa, educated there and in London, England, and in the United States. I am an ex-professor of medicine at the Medical College of Virginia and I’ve been in private practice for 51 years. I practice mostly internal medicine, primary care, with an emphasis on diabetes.

I think supplements play a very minor role. The major things to fix are the blood pressure, the cholesterol, and the sugar itself. The supplements are very weak actors and, as I often explain in my talks, it’s like adding STP to the gas tank when your engine is totally broken down. They really don’t fix anything.
