Unfortunately, sometimes I think television showcases the most visceral aspects of human behavior because some producer somewhere thinks it makes for good television. And in the middle of Sweeps in May, (where viewership is measured for ad revenue) the drama factor tends to go through the roof.

Fortunately, I don't think men like the ones featured on show are the norm and have high hopes that DeAnn will find her Mr. Right.

You have a point, however. Women need to know that when they stand on their own, they can stand strongly. We don't need to be defined by our man. (Can you imagine being defined by a chest-beating werewolf wannabe?)

Can you offer women tips on how to form their own identities in a time and culture where women are encouraged to define themselves by the people/entities around them?
