Now secondly, without the vitamin D, you are not going to be able to absorb calcium into the bones. So you may have a lot of calcium floating around in your blood but doesn’t get to the bones. So your bone mass doesn’t increase or it begins to decrease actually and becomes weak and poor. Some of the x-rays that you see, you can actually see through the bones. They are that porous, and when we start putting vitamin D and calcium in, we are going to find that those bones become more solid, and so the x-ray is not passing right through the bone when they take the picture.
