It is unlikely that you will go through pregnancy without some kind of swelling in your legs, calves, ankles and feet (not to mention other areas). But much like your favorite jeans, in time you probably also may be able to get back into your favorite pre-pregnancy shoes.

Unfortunately, there aren’t many exercises to shed baby weight in feet and ankles. It just takes time. Some women even may find that months after delivering their bundle of joy they still can fit into their pregnancy shoes and may find them more comfortable. This is because some women’s feet actually stay a half-size larger with each pregnancy.

Did you know that even without getting pregnant, throughout adulthood your feet could slowly grow and spread? It’s true! So if you find yourself searching for a new shoe in a size up from where you used to be, you may want to look at your age, rather than blaming your children.
