Dr. Schallock:

I often say that there are two things that make Banner Desert a great hospital to deliver at. It’s where I had my children. Number one is they have in-house anesthesia that you could have your epidural, and you could also, if there’s an emergency, that there’s someone here that could assist you.

And second of all is the nursery. They have a fantastic neonatal ICU with great physicians and the babies receive great care. Not that you are hoping to use that nursery, but it is there if you need it.

Dr. Carrie L. Schallock, M.D., is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is on staff at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. She received her undergraduate degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and graduated from medical school at Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Schallock completed her post-graduate residency and internship at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. She is currently in private practice at Partners in Women’s Health in Tempe, Arizona.
