Infertility Makes Us Stronger: One Couple's Journey

My husband and I received our infertility diagnosis almost 5 years ago, in April of 2012. As most couples who’ve been diagnosed with infertility would also say, we were completely caught off guard. You get married and you have kids, right? This diagnosis came quickly and although I was thankful to find out sooner, rather than later, it was still devastating. What we thought was just routine tests before we started our family, turned out to be much different as we were diagnosed with both female and male fertility.

Our journey has been different than many in that we have decided not to pursue medical intervention, but take a more natural route. We haven't gotten a lot of push back for this decision, but are thankful for the peace and freedom along the way. We have used our time of waiting to focus on our marriage and we’ve had the chance to travel all over the world. Even though infertility brings many apart, for us and our journey, it has brought us closer together. We decided from the beginning that it was no ones fault; not my husband’s and not mine, but that we are in this together. We are very open with each other about our journey and we agree that there’s no one to blame. We truly view our wait as a learning experience and we’re grateful for everything we’ve learned along the way.

Even though doctors told us the only chance we have to get pregnant is by invitro fertilization, we decided to take a different route, the one that we feel is best for us. Although it took a lot of research, I’m grateful for all the natural ways conception happens too. I’ve done plenty of research over the past five years and we’ve made many changes. We changed our diet, incorporated essential oils, and have done acupuncture.  I’ve also tracked my cycles and charted my temperature. I’m grateful that there are so many natural ways to prepare my body for pregnancy, including the more natural ways of conceiving at home, including using at-home conception devices, like The Stork OTC.  The Stork OTC can be used during ovulation to assist your chances of becoming pregnant and the great part is that it’s an over-the-counter device so it's super easy to purchase as well as use. In addition, it's much more budget-friendly than the alternative medical treatments.

No matter what route you choose, whether it's to pursue medical intervention or to choose a more natural route, make sure to keep your marriage a priority. Advocate for you and your partner and do what is best for the two of you, not what is best for the doctors or those around you. Despite what doctors say, know that conceiving naturally is absolutely doable and between diet changes or using a product like The Stork OTC, pregnancy will come!
