A recent article was published in the Wall Street Journal last year. Women who eventually underwent a uterine artery embolization were asked how many of those patients had been offered that therapeutic modality when they first saw their health provider. And the answer was less than five percent. So it’s really a testimony to the power and the ingenuity of women that they would go on to the internet, find another alternative other than hysterectomy.
