Hello reshma

Welcome to EmpowHER community and thank you for your question.

Yes. There is a very good chance that you conceived during these six days of missed active birth control pills.

Most birth control pills contain synthetic forms of two female hormones: estrogen and progestin. They prevent pregnancy by preventing the release of a mature egg (ovulation), make the uterine lining inhospitable to a fertilized egg, and partially limit the sperm's ability to fertilize the egg.

Reshma, without the active pills to protect you, there is a very good chance that you might be pregnant. If you do not get your period this month, take a home pregnancy test.

Regards,
Maryann
