Dr. Sorenson introduces himself and explains if a woman is capable of producing vitamin D without taking supplements.
Dr. Sorenson, Ed.D.:
This is Dr. Marc Sorenson. I am a Doctor of Education. I write books on vitamin D and human health. My main claim to fame, I suppose you would say, was owning one of the most popular health resorts in the world in southern Utah. We had people from all over the world and with the use of vitamin D from the sunlight and from proper nutrition, we made lot of people well.
I have also written the book called “Vitamin D3 and Solar Power for Optimal Health,” which is probably the most comprehensive book ever written on the subject.
That is according to lifestyle, but if a person is staying totally out of the sunlight and not getting vitamin D that way, then that person is going to need generally in the winter, at least 5000 International Units a day. That would be for a man. For a woman, closer to about 4000 International Units per day to achieve optimal health and also optimal levels of vitamin D for that health.
About Dr. Marc Sorenson, Ed.D.:
Dr. Marc Sorenson, Ed.D., and his wife, Vicki, developed one of the top health resorts in the world, known as National Institute of Fitness (NIF). During their time at NIF their clients lost over one hundred tons of fat. Two thirds of diabetic guests were free of all medication in less than two weeks, and many others recovered from high cholesterol, hypertension, lupus, arthritis, migraines, asthma and allergies.
