Francine describes how focusing on the breath, learned through yoga, has improved her overall health.
Francine:
I honestly think that focusing on my breathing has relieved pretty much all of my anxiety and fear about things that go on in life. And that is everything, from getting older, to financial meltdowns, to all the things that I see other people freak out about, road rage, you name it, I used to be fearful about it. You know, money, starvation, what would happen with my children, and I really, I have no fear really anymore, and it’s not because I have had any kind of major religious conversion. It is because yoga explains that fear comes from attachment and that attachment leads to suffering, and I have become just detached enough so that I don’t suffer.
