Francine describes how she discovered yoga.
I was actually a runner, and I had run 8 marathons, and I ran 60 miles a week for years and years. And my back started to hurt, and everybody kept telling me I would have to have back surgery. And I went to see a few neurosurgeons, and I decided that procedure was not for me, and I decided that I would try alternative methods, and my personal trainer at the gym told me that I should try yoga.
So I went to a yoga class, and I was so stiff that I couldn’t bend over, and when I bent over, I couldn’t get back up without excruciating pain.
