Listen as Registered Dietitian Maria Kinirons from Weight Watchers® shares which beverages are commonly mistaken as healthy.
Registered Dietitian Maria Kinirons:
Juices are because they bypass hunger mechanisms that they are not filling. So people often think, “You know, I’ll just have orange juice for breakfast. That will keep me going.” Actually, because it bypasses the hunger mechanism, you are just going to be as hungry, and it’s not a good way to consume calories because it’s a concentrated source of calories as opposed to eating a piece of fruit which has fiber and is much more satisfying.
