Hi, everyone I had bilateral PE and I also have a filter because of it. My question is my family lives in Germany I fly to Germany once a year to see every one. I'm on blood thinner as well I don't fly 'til June and all of this happened in January would it be ok for me to be on a long flight like this one ? Thanks a bunch Conny

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. You should certainly talk to your treating physician about your case specifically as there are many research articles that suggest that cabin pressure may cause some issues with individuals. Here is one study that I found which you might find interesting http://www.medicineuptotheminute.com/airplanes.html.

I hope this helps, but please follow up with your doctor.
