Is a bloating/gassy feeling after sex normal?

Hi,
I'm 17-years-old and I had intercourse for the very first time today with my boyfriend...and yes, we did used a condom. Now, about 3 hours after we had sex, I feel gassy, a crampy and a little bloated. The gass is actually very painful at times. Is this normal? As for my cycle, incase thats what is causing my discomfort, its about 32 or 33 days and I'm on day 25 or 26.
Please help.
Thanks!

Hello Anonymous,

Without penetration and ejaculation of semen into your vagina, and you ovulating, there was no risk for becoming pregnant.

The soreness could be from his attempt to insert his penis, especially if you were not adequately lubricated and he was forceful.

Me and my girlfriend had sex but we forgot when's the exact date, but last month. I can't remember if it's july 16 or 21. She doesn't remember her last period but before we had sex I remember she told me that the end of her period is the day before we had sex. but I can't remember the date. now it's august she's telling me that since July 29 she's feeling bloated and she's scaring the crap out of me. We had unprotected sex but I cum outside not inside of her. She also told me she's constipated. I'm freaking out because of her. Sorry if my grammar is not decent. Replies please ASAP. Thanks!

Hello Anonymous,

A pregnancy test is necessary. She can visit her physician or a clinic and have a blood pregnancy test done. Levels of hCG, which is the hormone produced during pregnancy, can be detected in blood about 11 days following conception.

Count three weeks from when you think you last had intercourse, and plan for the test.

Do you think she's pregnant?

Hi Anonymous,

I don't know, that is why I suggest she gets tested. Testing for pregnancy seems like a logical way to figure out why she is feeling this way.

Hello K,

If it is appendicitis, she needs to contact her physician today. Either way, speaking with her doctor can alleviate your concerns and worries.

We want to be sure first that she's not preggy. She felt that bloating, constipated feeling right? It started on july 29 and now it's gone but she feels her lower abdomen got big. But she doesn't feel anything now, normal. I hope by Aug. 15-20 she gets her period so that we can stop worrying. And I don't know if she really get fat because she's kinda eating pretty much nowadays. We're just scared because her lower abdomen kinda grew big and her tummy for me it only grow just a bit. I am so damn scared right now. Sorry for not saying things right I'm so nervous right now. -K

Hi K,

That is quite alright. For peace of mind, she should speak with someone at her physician's office. From all that you have shared, especially the negative pregnancy test result, and that she has been eating more, I don't think she is pregnant.
