I can appreciate your concern for your friend's health. Since it is your friend's health issue and not your health issue, your friend's physician can advise her why there was a drop in the white blood cell count and what action needs to be taken.
Under the HIP laws, no one but the patient and authorized healthcare professionals are able to discuss or have access to the patient's medical records or discuss the case.
Because there are so many reasons why a person's WBC drops, it is impossible for me, without access to her medical records, to give you an answer. I could give you all the general reasons why the white blood cell count decreases, but that would not be a direct answer to your question.
