Depression and anxiety

I wanted to just inquire about my brother who is taking medication for depression. He was also just put on Valium because he has been very anxious. But he is always tired and has no energy. I understand you can only make a suggestion, but I was wondering if he can take a B-complex. I feel that he is also lacking certain supplements in his body.

Hello and welcome to Empower,
Taking B-Complex supplements is a great way for him to increase his energy. He could also be anemic which can cause fatigue, depression and anxiety. So, I suggest he be tested for anemia. He can also start taking iron supplements without being tested.
Kombucha is also a great natural source of vitamin B as well and a better way for the body to absorb the vitamin. Its best to buy it raw and cold pressed. You can buy it at almost any grocery store.
Regular exercise can also increase endorphin production to fight depression and fatigue.
