I am sorry to say this...but if "being in love" with someone includes domestic violence, being called dumb, stupid, being told to leave, not having anything in common, having different goals... I wouldn't EVER want to be in love!

I'm so curious...why is this your definition of love? Are you currently seeing a psychologist, because if you enter into a "monkey bars relationship" (not leaving one relationship without first having hold of another one), I am not seeing how you will grow and mature. It sounds like you do not like yourself very much, if you are willing to be in an unhealthy relationship that LACKS love and respect, you are self-harming, etc. You DESERVE much better for yourself, and it does not matter if another guy likes you or not..you really need to like yourself first.

Please get out of this relationship quick, be friends-only with this new guy who can be your personal cheerleader, and talk to a professional counselor.

Many people are in relationships for 3 days, 3 years, 3 decades, and find out that the person is not right for them. It is no one's fault. It does not make either one of them "bad". What would be bad is not to follow your own dreams, enter into healthy, respectful relationships that bring out the BEST in you (and, in which you bring out the best in the other person...it does not sound like you are doing this for your current boyfriend, either). So, it's not a match. It happens. It happens in MOST relationships, as that is the purpose of dating! You date some people, and marry (or commit) to one. That is not good odds, but the dating part is necessary!

Let us know if you need help finding a counselor to help you become emotionally vibrant and strong like you deserve!
