I am 29 yr old mother of 2 boys. Quentyn is 7. Canaan is 2. I am married. I love my family, but honestly our family "life" is Far from what I feel it should be. A "happy, calm, "good" moment is a rarity in our home. It is chaotic. I am pretty certain I am the root cause of this issue. Regardless how hard I Do Try to keep peace and make all my boys happy (2 lil + hubby) it seems that I just make things worse. I have been diagnosed with Anxiety and Depression years prior. However, after trying different meds, nothing seems to change. I have always felt "different" than the rest. (Always late, Always doing something yet nothing gets done/finished) I came across an ad on a site about Adult ADH and the signs to look for. I am no dr but I believe for certain this would be the root of all my issues. I NEED HELP. AND SOON. I do NOT have any insurance nor do I have much money. I feel unworthy of receiving the help I need and even more importantly I have NO IDEA who to go to and/or what to say. Keep in mind, I am almost 30 yrs old & can't even remember going to a Dr (except Er) so Dr's intimidate me. And I feel they judge me. That they don't care about me. Just more $ for their pockets. Any advice would be God sent. Thank you

Hello Blessed2beBlessed

Thank you for your writing.

I don't know a lot about the bible but I do know that it teaches that we are all worthy. We are all equal.

Not all doctors are in it for the money and they do care. I think you are projecting your own lack of self-esteem and cynicism and applying it to others. Try not to do that, you are judging an entire profession with no real cause.

There is a specific process to getting a diagnosis - you will need to undergo therapy and likely a series of tests. Some therapist offer their services on a sliding scale - you can google for something near you or ask your own doctor for a referral.

You are very much worthy of care, please believe that. It is daunting and frightening, I know, but put your trust in people. You won't get on with or connect with every doctor but keep trying. Don't be afraid to ask your husband and other family for help.
Best,
Susan
