I had my period that finished last week and 2 days later I have sore breasts, back pain, heart burn, feeling tired and can smell things more .Can I still be pregnant and thought I had a period but it wasn't ? I have a 1 year old who when I carried him from finding out till I had him 7 months I bled every time I went to the loo they said my placenta was low . What do I do? Shall I take a test or wait a while? Or could it be something else?

Did you check and see if you're pregnant? I had the same situation as you two months ago and it was a miscarriage.

Could I be pregnant if my period is at least 1 - 2 days late?

Hi Anonymous,

Menstrual cycles can vary a day or two from one month to the next. Once your period is late by at least seven days, and you have had unprotected intercourse since your last period, then you can take a pregnancy test. That is the only was to know.

My bf came inside of me on april 13. i got my period on april 28. just a tad lighter than usual but not by much. I've been cramping on and off ever since. feeling a bit dizzy, headache and on one or two cases i felt nauseous and really tired last couple days. today cramps are so bad(on and off) that my lower back is hurting. I'm supposed to be ovulating again next week and trying for a baby again. we tested may 4th and was negative. what would happen if by some chance i am pregnant and we try again on my ovulating day? is it possible to be prego at this point?

Hello Anonymous,

Wait to test for pregnancy until your period for May is late by at least seven days.

Nothing bad will happen if you have intercourse and are already pregnant.

I've been having unprotected sex for about two months now. I did not miss my period it came about 4 days early but it was not as heavy as normal. My boyfriend does not ejaculate inside me. For about two days I was feeling nauseous and dizzy and now I'm having cramps and back pain. Could I be pregnant? My period was 4-30-2015 through 5-4-2015

Hello Anonymous,

On one hand, you are at risk for becoming pregnant by engaging in unprotected intercourse consistently for two months. On the other hand, you had a period which lasted five days, just lighter than normal.

Implantation bleeding does not last that long. It occurs about 6 to 12 days following conception, is pink or brown in color and is spotting rather than a flow.

I can only suggest you speak with your gynecologist, since you are having other symptoms as well.

Regards,
Maryann
