Just because you have no insurance doesnt mean theres not help out there for you. Check with your community hospital and see if they dont have a charity program set up for people with no insurance. there is helpout there for people -you just have to look hard for it.

I can appreciate your need for over-the-counter treatment. I found this website for you: The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology: www.uihealthcare.com/depts/.../vulvarvaginaldisease/vestibulitis.html  In the article titled, Vestibulitis, you will find information on associated causes. There is a section devoted to helpful tips to relieve symptoms. Except for Lidocaine, all of the recommended products can be purchased without a prescription. I hope this helps. Maryann

Thank you so very much, it's been frustrating dealing with this issue but not being able to do anything about it. The Dr. that ininitially diagnosed me prescribed me lidocaine which doesn't really work because all it does is numb the tissue for a little while but it does not make the problem go away. Since I lost my insurance I haven't been able to go back and see her but hopefully I'lll find something on the website, thank you.
