Hi! I went on a vacation on June 22-28. I forgot my birth control at home, and I forgot to take it for two days before the trip, so I had been without the pill for 9 days. My fiance and I didn't have sex on vaca, because I started my period. When we got back, we had sex on the 29, without using a condom. Since the 29th we've been having sex regularly. I used to be on Trivora but it was making me sick, so my doctor switched me to Levora, which I had never taken before. (i started taking it on the 29th) What are the chances that I am pregnant. Oh, I have been on the pill for 2 years now.

Hi there, I too have a concern with my Pill (Yasmin). I recently traveled from the US to Australia, then back to the US, then to Europe, in the course of about 4 weeks. It was stressful in terms of trying to take my Pill at the same time every day, because I usually take it in the evening, which meant when I was in Australia I needed to take it in the morning, plus taking it on the plane while crossing the international dateline was confusing, plus now I'm in Europe which is 6 hours ahead of New York so I need to take it in the middle of the day?! Its very confusing. To add to this while in New York for three days between arrive from Australia and going to Europe I thought I had forgotten one day of the Pill and when I realized quickly took it, but I actually hadn't forgotten so I took two in one day (!). It is all very confusing. Now I'm just keeping on taking it without stop because I am so paranoid that I have messed it up so much that if I stop and take the inactive pills for seven days somehow I will stop being covered against unwanted preganancy. The reason I am worried is because they say if you miss a pill at the beginning or end of the inactive Pills its very bad - if I'm one day 'ahead' on my Pill taking (because I took two in one day) then technically I will be one day ahead to go on the inactive Pills right? Or if I just get to the end of my pack, take the inactives for seven days, and start a new pack will I be ok? At the moment I have just started a new pack (after the last one when I took two in one day) so if I take these for the three weeks and then take the inactive Pills will I be fine?

Thanks!

G'morning all. I have a concern. I am currently taking Orthotricyclen-Lo. Here is what happened. I missed two pills and took those two once I remembered. But then I missed the two following pills and took those also. These missed pills were in Week 3 Active Pills. I had unprotected sex with the hubby every day of that Week 3. Well usually I know when the exact time and date that my period is going to arrive during that 4th week of unactive pills. It always comes that Thursday morning, no question. Well on Thursday morning I saw nothing and it continued like that all day. I never got my period that day. Friday still nothing but around 11 am, I went to the restroom and I had light pink bleeding. Saturday was a normal day with moderate to heavy flow. And then on Sunday, light discahrge. My period usually lasts from that Thursday until Monday afternoon/ Tuesday morning. Could I be pregnant?

Please help.
I'm a Monday starter. My first day of the period was Thursday, 2nd of July. I took a new pack starting from Monday, 6th July. But I forgot to take the pills on Friday and Saturday and took two on Sunday and will take two tomorrow. My husband and I had sex on Saturday. Now I am really worried that I might get pregnant. What are the chances that I might get pregnant. Would it be Ok to take the emergency contraceptive? I have been taking these pills for almost a year now and I'm taking Ortho-Tri-Cycle Lo.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it was Day 1 and 2 in the first week. I didn't realize I was suppose to double up until Thursday... I am horrible when it comes to reading directions... But I have been on the pill for 4/5 months now. And I do have an extra pill packet. But it is of a different brand. Its Tri cyclen lo. Thanks for your help. What would you say the chances of me being pregnant are? I'd like to say they are slim but I am afraid I'll jinx it...

I did not see Tri Cyclen Lo on the chart (Oral Contraceptives that can be used as emergency contraception).

You know, I would love to say your chances are slim, but you never know how each woman's cycle differs, even the same woman how her cycle differs from month-to-month. It is a guessing game. I do know that the worst pills to miss are the first 2 pills in the first week (because you have been hormone-free for 7 inactive days, and then have extended this by an additional 2 days). It says clearly, "it is possible to become pregnant if you have unprotected intercourse within the 7 days after 2 consecutive missed pills". To me, that means taking extra precautions and getting to the pharmacy for Plan B, since the pills you missed were the worst to miss: the first 2 from week 1, plus had unprotected intercourse within those 7 days...that is the formula for emergency contraception in my professional opinion.

Don't worry about jinxing anything...what is done is in the past. Please take control of your situation and make the best informed decision that you can right now.

Best wishes, and please let me know what you decide!

Alright. Heres my situation:

I'm a Sunday starter. My period started Wednesday July 1st and ended Saturday July 5th. I've been on birth control for 4/5 months now. Its Trinessa, by the way. I switched to a higher dosage of it (I was on the low dose then switched to the higher dose). Anyways, I ran out on Sunday and didn't take any pills on Sunday or Monday. I took one Tuesday and one on Wednesday. Then I took two on Thursday and two on Friday (I didn't know what to do but then realized I should double up). My boyfriend and I were fooling around on Thursday (the 9th) and it got to the point where he was about to ejaculate. He pulled out before but some got on the sheet. I've been really freaked out since then because we didn't use any back up method. What do you think I should do? Do you have any regards as to my possibilities of being pregnant?

Thanks Cindy
