Hi Anon

Thanks for your question!

The best way to stop this issue is to stop having unprotected sex! Why are you putting your girlfriend in this situation - why are you not using a condom?

Your girlfriend's monthly cycle has been changed due to taking emergency birth control twice in such a short period of time. This can cause bleeding as a side effect of taking emergency birth control; bleeding is actually a fairly common side effect.

Before worrying about anything else, your girlfriend must take a pregnancy test as soon as possible to see whether she is pregnant or not. Until she knows, there is no point in looking towards the next steps; she needs to find out if pregnancy is even the issue in the first place.

Pleas encourage her to take a test as soon as possible so that she knows where she stands.

Good luck to both of you and please make sure you practice safe sex so that this is no longer an issue for you. Condoms and/or birth control pills or devices are far more reliable than taking an emergency birth control pill.
