Seafood makes my vagina smell

So this might seem like a weird problem but ever since I can remember when I eat seafood such as fish, scallions, shrimp, etc. It cause my vagina to have a fishy smell. Its always the next day after I eat the seafood and only lasts for that one day, then its back to its normal, odorless smell. Their is no change in discharge, its not thicker or abnormally colored, there is no burning or itching or any other symptoms. Is this normal? Could this be some weird allergic reaction? Thanks!

IT PROBABLY IS BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS, NOT A STD BUT JUST BACTERIA. THE SAME HAPPENS TO ME, I'M TAKING AN ANTIBIOTIC & IT SEEMS TO BE HELPING. I THOUGHT IT WAS BECAUSE I HAD AN HYSTERECTOMY BUT IT'S BACTERIA THAT HAS SET UP AFTER THAT I GUESS. WILL UPDATE AFTER DONE WITH MED!! :-D

It happens to me too only with cheaper fish like: fast food fish, long johns, whiting, catfish, those kinds... it has nothing to do with Bacterial Vaginosis!!!!! It only stays for a day, I notice it the next morning....evrytime. Usually it goes away during that next day...I was thinkin maybe the amount of mercury or something...I dnt knw, I just don't like smelling NOTHING when. I pull my pants down...

I have noticed for the last couple of months everytime I have ate seabass trout snapper and shell fish the next day my lady parts have a strong scent of fish. I hate leaving the house lol. Now am pleased u all have the same problem and I'm not alone. 2 baths a day is usually what I do. No more seafood for me. Or recommendations on what fish is better to eat :-)

OMG! I had filet of sole, and that is all I eat, but every time, I get the awful odor the next day. I'm done, because I can't even go out tonight, because when I stood up, I could smell the fishy smell and it was strong. This has been happening for years, and it used to happen to my mom.

I wonder if all of us here are missing an enzyme, much like people who get "asparagus pee"? I love seafood, but if I haven't had enough water that day or the day after, it's scary. And I agree with some of you - I've found that fatty fishes (like salmon) aren't as bad (filet of sole is evil, lol). I can't wait to try the lemon/citrus trick!!!

I only eat filet of sole, and it has me in for a few days, due to the odor!

I have the exact same problem, and it is so embarrassing. I have always loved seafood and would eat a lot of it as it is my favorite meat. Growing up I had a fishy smell down there but I didn't realize that the seafood was the source. I still eat seafood, but now I carry feminine wipes to keep that area clean thoughout the day.
