swelling in neck

Just had a knee replacement..fell... nothing broken and replacement OK per x-rays... pain meds are causing some stomach discomfort... got up this morning with a swallow gland in my neck.... QUESTION WHAT COULD THIS BE?

An enlarged lymph node is the most common cause of a neck lump. Lymph nodes contain cells that help your body fight off infections and attack malignant cells. Other common causes of enlarged lymph nodes include ear infections. See your doctor if doesn't go away within a week or if you are concerned before then.
