Hi betty444,
Thanks for your question and for finding EmpowHER. While I can't speak for the guy you were intimate with, I'm guessing it wasn't your vagina that scared him away. Most men aren't scared away by the look of a vagina, and are ever so eager to engage in sex with a willing partner. He may have taken a new interest in someone else, plain and simple. I am wondering why you have such a low image of yours. Did something happen to make you think/feel this way?
Your post reminds me of an art exhibit I saw a number of years ago. They were black velvet boxes attached to a wall, and each artist decorated each box as an interpretation of how she viewed her vagina. Some had pretty ribbons and flowers in them, and brignt red and pink colors. Others had broken glass, wires, and looked pretty scary. I wondered what happened to the women who had broken glass and wires. Did they have reproductive issues? Did they experience rape or incest? Did they just have unexplained low self-esteem? Did they know why they viewed their vaginas this way? What would your project look like?
